Emer Barry has a degree in Music and Italian and a Masters in Music Performance from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin, Ireland. She has also studied in London with English National Opera and taken masterclasses at the National Opera Studio. A versatile performer, Emer has performed operatic roles with Opera Ireland, Lismore Opera and Glasthule Opera and is fast gaining a name for herself in the United States as part of Classical Crossover Trio ‘Affiniti’.  Emer is the only singer in the group which comprises of Concert Harp, Violin and Soprano Voice and performs everything from opera to their own Celtic infused arrangements of pop songs.  Affiniti have completed sold out tours of the USA in December 2014, 2015 and 2016 and is set to tour the North West of the country again in December 2017. As a soloist, Emer is delighted to join a new show put together by Columbia Artists Management called ‘The Irish Sopranos and Tenors of Dublin’ which is due to tour the States in 2019. Emer is a regular guest at the National Concert Hall in Dublin and made her John Field Room solo debut in 2017 with her show ‘Dial S for Soprano’. In 2016 she performed on numerous occasions as a soloist with The Army Band including an appearance at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby in the Curragh last July. She has just completed her first solo album ‘Storyteller’ which was launched in the National Concert Hall on the 18th July 2017. The album features songs from the genres of opera, musical theatre and Celtic music with particular emphasis on the art of storytelling and its inherent place in Irish heritage
